Relations between humans and Gods

In the epic of Gilgamesh the relationship between the gods and the humans is ruff. One second the gods will be helping the humans, and the nest they are trying to destroy them. For example the gods show a form of friendship with the humans you can say when they create one that is an extraordinary human. But then just a little bit later on they are showing hate in their creations by casting a bull of heaven upon them to destroy, to sending enormous flood to wipe out all living things. I guess you can say that the gods and human beings relation ship is like an old married couple. One second you love each other and the next you are trying to kill each other.

A red, red rose

This poem is about love of course and a man making it about his love. i think they are separated or far apart and this man is writing a poem about what he feels when he is not with is girlfriend or wife. when you read this it makes you feel happy and hopeful and know that love is out there for everyone and that relationships can last from anywhere.

The change in Gilgamesh

To be human you have emotion, you feel pain, you have an opinion, and you are not perfect. If you are human you can not usually do anything that is past what your body can withstand. an example of when a character shows humanity is when Enkidu dies of sickness from the gods. When Enkidu is laying sick next to Gilgamesh he is telling him that the gods are taking him, and Gilgamesh and Enkidu begin to cry. In that scene, the god men, Enkidu and Gilgamesh show humanity. By losing a loved one.
But to be an exceptional human being is you must be able to do things that other humans cannot do. In the story when Gilgamesh kills Humbaba, a beast sent by the gods, which is an example of exceptional humanity, another example of exceptional humanity is when the goddess Ishatar is enraged at Gilgamesh and wants him to be punished so she sends the bull of heaven down to destroy his kingdom, but him and Enkidu show god like power and defeat the bull of heaven which then enraged the Gods.

Fire and ice points

The poem fire and ice speaks to me. i think it is interesting how the world will end someday. Maybe in 2012, but no one knows for sure. but i know that when it does end, i would prefer it end in ice, because i hate hot weather.
